W fenders are designed for use in extreme conditions to absorb
excessive shocks. This type of fender is suitable on the bow and
stern of tugs, workboats and icebreakers. The grooves on the top of
the fender provide extra grip and low pressure. The two flexible
legs allow easy installation of the W fender with a large or small
radius by means of guide rods. W fenders are used for protection at
the bow and stern of vessels, typically together in connection with
Cylindrical Tug Boat Fenders. Their large contact surfaces are
ideal for low hull pressure and grooves provide additional grip. W
Fenders are available with profiled and non-profiled surface.
